Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel Polish System, Chloe + Isabel Starburst Ring

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish in Can't Beet Royalty and Chloe + Isabel Starburst Ring

My natural nails have taken a beating and I've been determined to get them back to a healthy state. Aside from overhauling my diet, I've decided to no longer wear press-ons or get acrylics done. The dilemma I now faced was wearing nail polish. I don't really want to paint my nails every other day but nail polish almost always chips within that time frame.

I decided to look into Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel Nail Polish which promises 14 day of chip-free wear using their nail polish and topcoat. Going into this, I was completely skeptical that I would get 14 days but I definitely hoped it would be longer than 1-2 days.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat and Essie's Sand Tropez

I first tried the Sally Hansen (no light required) Topcoat with a regular polish. I used Essie's Sand Tropez which never lasted more than two days on me. What I got was 3 days completely chip-free. On the 4th day, minimal chipping began. Nevertheless I was impressed.

It got me thinking, would it work better if I used it in conjunction with the miracle polish? I waited for a sale ($9.99 for a bottle is still pricey to me) and purchased Can't Beet Royalty, a red in the sunlight and a gorgeous shade of maroon indoors. I got 3 days of wear. On the 4th day there was one chip on my thumb nail. Not too bad. By now, with regular polish, all my nails would be terribly chipped.

So I've concluded that I like that this system because it gives me 3 days completely chip free. Then after that the chips begin minimally.

I've also been trying really hard not to get into the holiday spirit before Thanksgiving. But it's sooo hard! Especially after seeing all the decorations going up in the stores. I've been obsessed with chloe + isabel's holiday collection, particularly their Starburst Ring (I've always had an obsession with stars. I even have one tattooed on my ankle!). The Starburst Ring is gorgeous and is available in my chloe + isabel boutique here nikiHeartsThis c+i boutique.

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
