Haul: Paula's Choice, Loreal, Maybelline, Target & Piercing?!

Hey guys! Ive purchased some new items lately and thought I'd share! If you'd like a more in-depth review, just leave me a comment.

Here's the video in case you'd rather watch these products in action. If not, keep reading :)

The first item is Paula's Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator. In an effort to revamp my skincare and be more conscious of ingredients, I gravitated to her products and their transparency over what's in their products and its purpose.

Paula's Choice Resist Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator

So far, what I like about this lotion is its light consistency. Ive been using it as a nighttime moisturizer since I don't wear SPF (bad habit I know).
Next, is a foundation which seemed like it was made just for me! This foundation is geared towards those who have oily skin and large pores. has the biggest shade selection I've seen. Actual drugstore selections are pretty limited. I chose the shade 310 Sun Beige and I feel like its a tad bit too light. This foundation also causes major flashback. One thing I LOVE about it is the finish. It looks like a high end foundation. It did a better job than most foundations at keeping the oilies at bay. It feels like a satin finish and it does a GREAT job at covering pores. However, the coverage is a light especially when dealing with under eye circles. But...I suspect this might be breaking me out. I need to try it out a little more to be certain.

One thing I know for sure doesn't break me out is Maybelline's Dream Pure BB Cream. I know this because this is a repurchase.

For a BB Cream this has pretty good coverage! It also has 2% salicylic acid. I have mine in Medium/Deep Sheer Tint.

I've been struggling with some hormonal issues which is resulting in some hair loss. In an effort to be kinder and gentler to my hair Ive converted to a sulfate-free shampoo.

One thing I love about Loreal's EverStrong is how well it lathers! This shampoo has definitely made my hair look and feel healthier and from the handful of times Ive used it, it seems to be making a difference in lessening the amount of hair that is falling out.

Next, I picked up this Merona Sweater from the clearance rack at Target.

At under $10 its a steal! Its a nice thick chunky sweater and since its still the dead of winter (at least where I'm at) you cant go wrong. The sweater I picked up was an XXL and I just assumed it would be super over-sized since I'm a medium (sometimes large lol) but it fit well. So just be aware that it might run small.

Lastly, Ive been debating on whether or not I wanted to pierce my nose. However, I wasn't sure if I would look good on my nose so I wanted to give it a test drive. I purchased fake nose rings from Etsy and have been having fun with them! You're more than welcome to check out the video and let me know if its a yea or nay :)

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
