|Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee Cologne Absolute|
I'm usually weary when it comes to Birchbox perfume samples. They're either too masculine or sickeningly sweet.
So you can imagine my surprise when I took a sniff of the Atelier Vanille Insensee cologne sample and fell in love. So much so, that I tried to preserve the tiny little sample for as long as I could.
I accumulated a decent amount of Birchbox points and decided that it was time to take the plunge and purchase the full size bottle.
This perfume smells wonderful. I've always been a fan of vanilla fragrances, however they are often too sweet, musky, or cloying. This fragrance is vanilla perfume done right. And while it's cliché to say, "I'm terrible at describing scents", I'll list the notes from the website and hope you take the opportunity to sample the fragrance at your local beauty store.
From the website:
Cologne Absolute concentrated at 15% [pure perfume ]
Top notes: coriander from Russia, cedrat from Italy, lime from Mexico
Heart notes: jasmine from Egypt, Haitian vetiver, oakmoss from Slovenia
Base notes: vanilla from madagascar, oakwood from England, amber
The bottle costs $75 for one fluid ounce, which I was hesitant about since I knew I wanted to use it every day and didn't want to run out of it quickly. However I was pleasantly surprised to find out how potent it is! Probably has something to do with the 15% concentration! A simple dab on pressure points is more than enough and the scent lasts all day!
