Wow I'm finally back online after my power cord for my laptop shredded! After reading all these nailpolish blogs with wonderful konad designs, I had to take the leap and buy it. I thought konading would be difficult but its surprisingly not bad. Takes a little practice and can be a little messy, but the results and the joy in my heart when I look at my nails (cheesy, I know!) is totally worth it. I purchased my Konad kit on Amazon. It came with two Konad plates in m2 and m3, a stamper, a scraper, and 3 special polishes in red, white, and blue.
A brief how to: Select your design and using the special polish paint the desired image. Quickly scrape off excess polish and using the stamp pick up the image and transfer it on to your nail. Finish off with top coat. They recommend using their special polish because it is thicker, but there are some regular polishes that work well also. Basically the thicker the polish the better it is.
Here is my first attempt:
I found that Sinful Colors Black on Black (only $1.99) works as a GREAT stamping polish! I used plate m2
Heres what I used:
1. Rimmel Base Coat Top Coat Pro
2. Wet N Wild Wild Shine in Metallica
3. Sinful Colors Black on Black
4. Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I can see how konading can become additive. The possibilities are endless!
