Revlon Polish and Nyx Gloss

I was looking for a nice coral shade of nail polish to wear now that summer is definitely here (cant miss it with 3 weeks of 90+ weather). I decided to try Revlon's Make Mine Mango. However, it wasn't the coral shade I thought it would be. Instead, its a bright reddish orange. I was looking for an orangish color with pink undertones instead of red. It wears pretty well, I got 5 days with minimal tip wear. After the 5th day, tip wear was noticeable. The color is too bold on my nails for my taste but it will be perfect on my toes!

The design on my ring finger was created with a Kiss stencil that came with their Nail Art kit.

Now on to the NYX products. My fave gloss ever from their line is the NYX girls lipgloss in Natural. Its a creamy, pigmented shade of pink.

I am amazed that a gloss can cover the brown in my lips so well. Its not sticky and lasts a decent amount of time. There is a lemony, almost dishwashing soap scent to this gloss which quickly fades. This is definitely my go to gloss.
In the summer, I gravitate towards shades of bronze and coral. I went to Essentials in the mall (the only place nearby that sells NYX!) to purchase either NYX Girls Apricot or Peach gloss but they only had Megashines. A little weary of purchasing on whim without checking swatches, I dived. I chose Nyx Megashine lipgloss in Lollipop.

In the tube it looked slightly shimmery and frosty. On my lips, the frost is barely noticeable. It also turned out to be a great nude looking gloss for my skin tone with a hint of orange. My only gripe about the Megashines or maybe just this Megashine in particular, is the heavy scent of cherry, its not a sweet cherry smell but an artificial, slightly overbearing scent. This scent seems to linger around a little longer in comparison to the NYX Girls gloss. It also feels sticky and a bit heavy on the lips.
Nonetheless, these so far are the best glosses I have tried. Great pigmentation, color range, and affordable. I can't wait to purchase more shades!

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
