Current Face and Makeup Routine

So here's my current anti-acne routine. I'm trying to get rid of my current acne while preventing new pimples from sprouting. I've limited the amount of products I use on my face. This includes moisturizer and SPF. I know, I know, super bad!!! But I really can't take the acne and since it seems like everything breaks me out I'm taking a product vacay. I do know the importance of SPF and once my skin is under control I will use products one at a time so I can single out what works and what doesn't.
This is what has really been working for me causing my old pimples to dry up and preventing new ones:
First I wash my face with Burt's Bee's Acne Solutions Cleanser
Then I apply Burt's Bees On the Spot Treatment to my blemishes. (I was going to say pimples but it sounds so ick!!)

To cover blemishes I use Almay Clear Complexion Concealer in Medium. My only gripe about this concealer is that it is too light and I chose the darkest color they make!! It can be drying but I'm not surprised since it contains 1.0% salicylic acid.
To set, I pat Neutrogena Skin Clearing Powder in Natural Beige on blemishes first, then the rest of my face. I believe it is this powder that prevents new acne from forming.
When removing makeup I use a baby wipe prior to washing, then I apply the spot treatment.
I find that this has really been working for me!! I'm so excited since I feel like I can finally see my face again :)

  1. sorry for the late reply :/ I am too...discovered them during my second pregnancy using mama bee products and their body butters :)

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:
As promised here are some swatches:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
