Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions 3 Step Regimen Kit

So I have desperately been trying to fix my skin since it has been ruined by Olay's complete moisturizer for combination/oily skin. Now I know Olay is a good brand. Though I personally had never tried it before, my mom and others have sworn by it. Apparently, unbeknownst to their faithful consumers, Olay changed their formula adding Avobenzone which is an irritant. In my case, the word irritant doesn't do my skin justice. While I did suffer the occasional cystic pimple around that time of the month, my face exploded with painful cystic acne all over my cheeks, chin, and forehead! I was ashamed and embarrassed to step out of the house! I tried Proactiv hoping for results, but unfortunately I kept getting more cystic pimples! I know they say there is a purging period, but I don't buy it because since I purchased Burt's bees acne system I have no new breakouts and it's it's improving my skin!!! So here is my review on the products I currently use from the Natural Acne Solutions line:

Purifying Gel Cleanser:

This 5 fl. oz. cleanser comes in a plastic bottle and has a water like consistency and can feel a bit drying though definitely not as drying as most cleansers that have salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.

 Daily Moisturizing Lotion:

This is by far the best lotion I have ever tried. It comes in a 2 fl. oz. glass bottle with a pump. For those who suffer with acne, it is very difficult to find a lotion that wont aggravate acne and actually moisturizes! All of the ones I have tried prior to this one have been sooooo drying. My only issue is the price. Its a whopping $18 USD. Maybe, they could put it in a plastic bottle and reduce it by $10. But, since I like it so much and because it moisturizes and doesn't aggravate acne, its worth it for me.

Targeted Spot Treatment:

A gem!!! This is the miracle I have been looking for! I can see results in a day. My only gripe is that it is soooo tiny! You get a mere .26 oz for $10 USD. Come on! You could have at least made it an ounce!!! Mine didn't last me more than two weeks :( It comes in a glass bottle. It also is difficult to dispense.

Ok, so one thing about all three products is that it does have a strong pinesol-ish medicinal smell. However, it does fade, not right away, but maybe after 5 mins.

One important factor for me was that these products do not have any parabens or dimethicone. I'm trying to figure out what breaks me out and these are in most makeup. I have not had any new breakouts since I have eliminated these from my skincare products.

  4. A bees made acne treatment... So long I'm looking for this kind of treatment and now I found it. I need this badly because my daughter won't go to school due to her acne that scattered all over her face.

  5. i get cystic acne too, it is not fun to deal with. I dont get them that often but when i do, they get huge! The thing im doing now is a cream called duac and glycolic acid. I considered trying accutane, but the side effects are so bad i dont really want to try it.

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:
As promised here are some swatches:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
