Mini Elf Haul

After hearing so many reviews on elf's studio line, I decided to purchase a few items.
From left to right: Complexion Perfection Powder, Kabuki Brush, All Over Cover Stick in Spice (from $1 line), Corrective Concealer Palette, and Complexion Brush.
Ok, so I'll begin with my least favorite. I love the idea of a concealer palette cuz lord knows I need one! I was hearing so many raves about the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette but it was always out of stock at my local Target. So I decided to purchase hoping it was a cheaper alternative. The consistency of this palette is hard and thin. One swipe barely lifts any color. Its not creamy or easy to work with.
On a brighter note, the next three are my faves and I find myself reaching for them often. The kabuki brush is soooooo soft and feels soooooo good on the face. I recommend using this brush with powdered products cause I found that it didn't work too well with my liquid foundation.
The Complexion Perfection powder gives my face a nice matte finished look. I use it by taking my elf Complexion Brush and swirling all the colors together. I use a little extra yellow under my eyes to brighten my dark spots. This powder will NOT cover your imperfections, it just gives a nice matte finished look.
Next, is the Complexion Brush. I love this brush! I use it with my Complexion Perfection Powder, but it will also be a perfect blush brush. This brush is so soft and I haven't had a problem with shedding.
The All Over Cover Stick is in Spice (Medium) and for $1 its a pretty good concealer. I find it to be a lil slippery so I set it with powder. This color is the perfect match for my skin and I was so happy since im never that lucky! I usually use it under my eyes and set it with the yellow powder from the complexion perfection palette.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the quality of the elf studio line and will definitely be making more purchases in the future. Plus, you gotta love all those promo codes!!!

  1. I do like the Complexion Perfection too, just a little messy when you use it!

    Happy Saturday!:D
...and everything girly under the sun!

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
