Bath and Body Works Haul

It has finally started to get warmer here in NYC!! I commute by train and boy do those subways cars get packed like a can of sardines!! Nothing is more important than smelling decent on a packed train! Bath & Body Works was having a buy 3 get 2 free sale. So I picked up a few items.

From Left to Right: Sweet Pea Fragrance Mist, Sweet Pea Shower Gel, Sweet Pea Body Lotion, Coconut Vanilla Body Lotion, Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Lotion, Warm Vanilla Fragrance Mist

When it comes to fragrance, I am very picky. I like simple scents. I don't like anything spicy, musky, woody etc. I usually like sweet or floral.

I do love the Sweet Pea scent. It does initially smell strong, but quickly fades into a nice summery scent. This is my signature summer scent.

The shower gel is by far the best shower gel I have tried. It lathers up really well. A little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling soft and lightly scented.

The lotion has really good staying power and doesn't feel greasy.

The mist, eh, I have to admit was a disappointment. Granted, it smelled good...but it doesn't last at all!!!! The lotion, which is cheaper, has longer staying power than the mist.

Now on to the Vanillas. I have always loved the smell of vanilla. Its very comforting to me.

Once again, the mist isn't that great in terms of staying power :(

The lotion is yummy, perfect in my opinion, for winter. If you are looking for a vanilla scent for the summer the perfect scent is coconut vanilla, which is apart of their Summer Vanillas Collection. It has the perfect balance of each scent not making it too vanilla-y or coconut-y.

I bought the 2 oz. bottle for a $1 during their Summer Preview promo. The 2 oz. bottles are the perfect toss and go size!

Mini TJ Maxx Haul and Target Boots

TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop at, since I love a good bargain . Brand name clothing, shoes, makeup, and housewares at awesome prices! I also love Target's clearance section which is where I picked up the boots. In addition to the boots, I also picked up two large lamp shades for $6 each!!

I love anything mint colored, and looking at this mug just made me happy! TJ Maxx $2.99
On my way to the register, I spotted the red mug with hearts and couldnt resist. TJ Maxx $3.99

I also have heard about being able to find theBalm products at TJ Maxx but most of them had missing items or were broken. I was finally able to find one that was intact. It comes with a bronzer that doubles as an eyeshadow, a blush, a lipgloss with SPF 17, and a mini kabuki brush. $9.99

Here are some swatches:

Betty-Lou Manizer is a bronzer which doubles as an eyeshadow. It is the perfect color for my skin tone. However, as a bronzer, there is fine glitter that is visible in the sun. I prefer matte bronzers. No…

Red Lipstick Collection

I have recently become obsessed with red lipstick. I love how it can add a pop of color to a simple look and make it look like you've made some effort.  Check out my latest YouTube video on my red lipsticks:

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms in Sultry and Standout

I was a good girl. I wanted to buy all of the Revlon Matte Balms but I held myself back. It took a lot of effort. I picked up the two shades I knew I would get a lot of wear from. These two shades are Sultry and Standout.

Sultry is a gorgeous pinky mauve.

Standout is a gorgeous deep red.

I really think I might pick up some more. They go on smoothly without tugging. While these are matte, they are comfortable to wear since they are not as drying as most matte lipsticks can be. Until now, I really thought "matte balm" was an oxymoron, but Revlon has done it!
